I'm one of the Co-founders of a software development company, Lionize. Lionize is a software platform that enables marketers to run influencer programs efficiently. At its core, Lionize is a hybrid job recruitment and matchmaking platform that handles everything from onboarding through execution.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We researched about 20 social media management agencies. I ultimately went with Socialistics because I could tell they were reliable and cared deeply about their clients.

After a kick-off, they developed a brand strategy guide by diving deep into our business. They then put together a plan that they executed flawlessly on.

They developed high quality content and drove a spike in engagement across all of our social platforms.

Communication was incredible between our team and their team. This lead to an efficient workflow from initial strategy through execution.

Their willingness to assess our business as if they were owners themselves. They immersed themselves to better understand how to communicate with our target audience.

I am the president of a toy company looking to increase our social ads for the holiday season.

We were doing all social ourselves and wanted to hire a company who knew what they were doing and could get results.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I interviewed 3 companies and decided on Socialistics based on the owner who had very good ideas.

The owner handed the project to staff and it went down hill form the start. We had a few meetings and they suggested a path.

We worked with 3 staff members but never sure who was in charge or who did what.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Once of the team members quit the company due to personal reasons and then the company decided to just drop our account. We invested in 2 months of testing and learning what is working and then they just QUIT! Was a huge waste of $10k. They promise a lot and then don't deliver.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They never fully understood our products and graphics always needed to be changed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Nothing

They could have followed through with their promises and instead broke the contract.

Company Responses

The vendor responded on December 20, 2021

Up to this point, we have had an impeccable reputation with our clients. Once in a while, we come across a client that isn’t a good fit, yet still can come to amicable terms in ending our working relationships. Unfortunately, with Erin, this was apparently not possible.

We missed a couple of follow-ups due to some internal oversights, but we offered to waive her retainer for the month and do whatever we had to do to make things right. Nothing advised was OK with her.

Most of the claims Erin has made are inaccurate as well. Despite being given half the ad budget from the previous year, we doubled their ROAS (return on ad spend) as they wanted to test the waters. The client was still dissatisfied with the volume of sales despite our direction that this would be impacted by their smaller budget. The results were definitely there based on what we had to work with. In addition, clear roles and responsibilities were set upfront, and we certainly had no issue understanding their product (Lego subscriptions).

We agreed with the client that we were unable to meet their sales volume expectations with their allotted budget, so I suggested we go our separate ways since we’d reached the end of our initial 3-month contract and I didn’t see things continuing down a mutually beneficial path. We also waived Erin’s last month retainer as a means to own our part in things.

We started a cooperative effort between the principals and Socialistics in September 2020 with focus on organic growth with social media to tell our story. The rest of calendar 2020 was used learning principles and starting the platforms.

2021 was spent navigating the pitfalls and slowdowns which we converted into opportunity to start our own podcast. Development of that podcast is key for our future. Socialistics gave us the initial playbook on how to turn our business theatrics into a channel that people want to tune in to.

The paid traffic is the biggest surprise that came through despite us not opening our individual spheres. We had one client that came out of the wilderness after seeing a post and closed on their first home!

Once we got meetings scheduled workflow got better and improved until we suspended service Summer 2021

Their ability to turn some of our ideas into posts that made sense with our personalities was impressive.

What were your goals for this project?

To increase sales in a more fun and unique way and create an experience for the customer, whether on social media or in person. With ultimate goals of increasing the number of sales directly through social media (dm's). Being in a small town, I believe we have reached our potential of new customers, so this is where social media comes in.

I've known Jason for years. We had always 'talked shop', but I never thought I could afford his services. But after thinking about it and weighing the options, I decided to go for it!

Socialistics really helped me create a BRAND for my store. I want people to truly have an experience when they came in the door and when they visit our social media pages. They have helped me think long term about my goals regarding social media and what is actual possible. They've helped me utilize tools that I wasn't before, in order to grow our followers and increase sales, which is my ultimate goal.

Over the past year, our sales through social media (dm's) has really taken off. I'm looking forward to this progress continuing. We've also increased the number of followers and page likes, which I didn't think was possible in our area.

Excellent. Even though I own a small business and I'm sure there are much bigger and more lucrative clients, I've always been treated like a priority to Socialistics!

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I'm constantly impressed with the level of knowledge and creativity of Socialistics. The new ideas given on a regular basis is incredible. The team continues to educate themselves on the newest and most successful techniques available to them, and as a client I feel that they're keeping me and my business 'in the know'.
