I’m the technical director at Banjaxed Solutions, a Salesforce service provider. We do app development implementations, integrating pretty much anything into our clients’ organizations.

Our main challenge was having the right bandwidth to service our clients. Originally, we needed to ensure that we could deliver 1,000 hours of development work over a two-month period. Specifically, we needed Salesforce Marketing Cloud expertise, which we didn’t have in-house.

Initially, they worked on a Salesforce Marketing Cloud project, providing us with a very niche expertise we didn’t have. From there, we started scaling up our partnership. Now, SP Tech is integrated into our business processes, including the way we conduct documentation and do user training.

SP Tech has helped design and implement work for a large client, including website design and debugging. They’ve also trained our team on how to better handle the client and convey professionalism and experience. Basically, they’re an IT consultancy agency, but they also provide consulting services on internal business processes and development projects, and they help us execute those as well.

We’ve worked with around 15 teammates from SP Tech, including the CEO, the COO, 2–3 project managers, and around 10 developers.

We found them either on Upwork or the Salesforce App Exchange because they were listed as an agency there. When we were looking for a service provider, we found out that SP Tech was responsible for the Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementation for a large videogame development company.

I started working with SP Tech around February 2022, and our engagement is ongoing. Now, we have a long-standing partnership with them for our clients and our company as a whole.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our biggest added value of working with SP Tech is that they give us the ability to work for our clients 24/7. They’ve delivered solutions for six-figure projects, helping us get better reviews from our clients. Their efforts have also allowed us to quickly deliver large projects, helping us improve our client relationships.

Thus far, we’ve worked with SP Tech for around 5,000 hours, and they’ve been responsible for generating between $600,000–$700,000 in revenue for us. Moreover, our team is more effective now, thanks to the training and recommendations SP Tech has provided. Although this result is very hard to measure, our employees now produce more value for the company with SP Tech’s help.

How did SP Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

SP Tech is capable of executing high-demand work with very quick turnaround times. For example, if a client needs something to be developed in a week, SP Tech works with our team and helps us deliver under the required timeline. Additionally, they always deliver within budget because they never go outside the scope. They prioritize our budget in the same way we would.

As for project management, SP Tech works within the management system we want to use, whether it is Agile or Scrum, because they’re very knowledgeable of various methodologies. Moreover, they’ve helped us evolve our methodologies over time to meet our business needs.

In addition to that, SP Tech has gone above and beyond in providing training, documentation, and communication, making themselves available whenever we need them. They’re great communicators. We communicate daily, and they provide us with the information we need within 24 hours.

Additionally, we meet once per month with SP Tech’s leadership team, and we have reviews of the team once per week. During those reviews, SP Tech goes through the documentation and provides recommendations.

The CEO and the COO have taken a very hands-on role in serving us. We have personalized meetings with them, the project managers, and the developers. They feel like members of our team, and we feel like we’re worth their time. As for collaboration tools, we use Slack to communicate, as well as ClickUp, Jira, Ayoa, Salesforce, and Wrike for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SP Tech constantly provides recommendations on how to work with our clients, making us better consultants, even when we simply need some development work. Other companies only focus on delivering the tasks they get assigned. However, if SP Tech gets assigned something that our team can’t do, they work with our team to ensure that they can do it in the future so that they can always focus on their most valuable work. Overall, SP Tech is a consulting company that empowers their clients to be better and more knowledgeable consultants themselves.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing about SP Tech that I would change. We’ve worked together for a while now, so they’re effectively integrated into our systems.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a discovery process, introduce them to your team, and talk to them about how they can help you. They can speak for themselves.

Salesforce is not an easy system to code on to say the least. I was very impressed with the team's talent to push through and get the job done.

No, the whole team was great and all around great experience and would definitely use them again if needed.

We were trying to migrate a lot of our sales and operations into a Salesforce platform, so we needed to consult with a Salesforce expert who could visualize the solutions that we need, and implement them into Salesforce at a reasonable cost.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SP Tech is providing us with Salesforce integration. We first started with a call to scope out the project, talk about their services, and how their team works. After that was done, they set up a daily scrum meeting with me every day at 12:30 pm to go through the process.

From there, we started the development that involves the user testing area and quality assurance. This is to ensure that the iteration that they’re working on is working well before it gets deployed into production.

The process then gets repeated for every project over the course of our engagement.

We work with a project manager, three full-time developers, and two QA engineers.

How did you come to work with SP Tech?

I had initially found out about SP Tech on the Salesforce app exchange. I then requested a consultation with them via their Upwork profile, but I did initially discover them while browsing through the Salesforce app exchange catalog of partners. I interviewed several different companies that reached out to me and ultimately chose SP Tech because they were closer to my office, and I found their pricing per hour and per developer to be very reasonable.

Moreover, as far as the solutions that they built in the past and what they showed me, everything looked really good. They were able to deliver the results I wanted from the initial project we gave them and it was clear that they were the right people for the job.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

In the timeframe that we started working together, we’ve completed six individual projects, which isn’t the number you would normally complete in such a short period of time. They move very quickly and they’ve saved us $300,000 USD for development work — which is a lot compared to the average rate for the same type of work.

How did SP Tech perform from a project management standpoint?

SP Tech has a really good project management process established and a great system built on ClickUp. They essentially gave me access to it so I can keep track of the project’s progress and organize the development. 

We mostly talk through Microsoft Teams and we use Slack internally.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One of their biggest strengths is they’re able to communicate with me every day, and I believe that’s one of the reasons why we ended up being more successful than others. The management is very transparent and we’re able to interact in a meaningful way.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Personally, I don’t think there’s anything negative about working with them so far, so I don’t have any complaints.

I don’t know if SP Tech does this for everybody, but I would highly suggest setting up daily phone calls with at least the project manager. Make sure you check the development often and familiarize yourself with their platform.

We found SP Tech through UpWorks online. We reviewed numerous candidates applications for the project. We selected 3 different companies to interview and after our conversations came to select SP Tech for the project. Our decision was made based on the range of skillset SP Tech was able to offer as well as their competitive pricing for a long term project.

The SOW for our initial request was to transition our current Classic interface to the new Lightning Interface. We communicated frequently via web meetings and emails throughout this entire process. We felt up-to-date and informed each step of the way. This process included training sessions to ensure our team was set up for success.

Once this project was complete, we entered into an ongoing time and materials contract to accomplish other new request. Monthly Reporting for internal and external send, Community Partner Portals development and custom build, DocuSign integration with a custom solution for our sales team. This included how-to training documents and videos. Daily break/fix request as well as web-to-case form and client satisfaction surveys with reports built to monitor and audit all of these new systems.

The project management style has been great. They used checklist software to keep track of the stage of the request and held frequent meetings to review outstanding task live and complete during screen-share sessions to ensure all questions have been answered and the request was completed to our satisfaction.

We have been impressed with the teams professionalism and consistency. We have also been impressed with their ability to solve any problem. They are responsive and friendly as well as knowledgeable about every area of Salesforce. There has not been one request we have made that the SP Tech team could not figure out how to accomplish. Even when Salesforce was limited, they came up with a custom solution to meet the need. This team has been highly valuable to us and we would highly recommend their services.

I’m a training specialist manager at a software company. We specialize in EMR software, which we sell across the US. I help with implementation and training needs.

What challenge were you trying to address with SP Tech?

We needed project tracking, communication, and all-in-one compensation software. We purchased Salesforce, but we weren’t sure how to set it up and utilize it, so we reached out to SP Tech.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

SP Tech assists us in building and configuring our Salesforce instance and provides ongoing consulting. The initial discovery phase consisted of an hour-long meeting where we described our wants, deliverables, and what we were trying to achieve within the system. About three days later, they returned with a statement of work (SOW).

We signed the SOW and delivered it back to them within the week. They started working on our project the following week. We didn't compose the SOW; we just described what we wanted, and they put it into a nice format and broke the schedule into a weekly timeline.

We focus on accounts, management companies, facilities, project tracking, email, and tasks. We rely on them as subject matter experts of the product. For example, when I need to schedule training inside of Salesforce and track it. They show me how to create a training email template and schedule it on Salesforce's calendar. All we do is tell them what we want. They suggest what to do and show us how to manage that data.

What is the team composition?

We work with two people from SP Tech. Bhanu is our project manager, and the other teammate is our account builder, who builds everything in Salesforce.

How did you come to work with SP Tech?

Our tech manager found SP Tech on Google. We reached out to another set of contractors, but we didn't get any motion or movement. We kept sending emails for over a month and got one response in four weeks. We decided not to go with those other suppliers and tried our chances with someone else. That's when we luckily stumbled upon SP Tech.

We've spent between $10,000–$25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began the partnership in September 2024 and signed the SOW in October 2024. The project lasted six weeks, and we ended around mid-November 2024. They have delivered the project but are still available for us. They offer consulting when necessary, so it is an ongoing engagement.

Even though the implementation has ended, we're still communicating with them on Microsoft Teams. If we're confused about something, they're willing to help. We can say, "Hey, how do you do this?" and they quickly respond. We're putting in some of our data, and it's gone seamlessly. It's working pretty well. We will begin to implement more objects in Salesforce around January.

They've performed excellently. I've implemented many projects over 17 or 18 years, and this is one of the smoothest projects I've been involved in. They've handled it very well.

They've set up an entire Microsoft Teams channel for us to communicate and are in constant communication. We can communicate with them and get feedback if we need an update before our weekly calls. Our following meetings are more productive, and we can see what they built out.

We use Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and note-takers inside of Teams for project tracking and visibility. We communicate through emails and Microsoft Teams and have weekly meetings.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Bhanu is absolutely thorough. He is responsive, understands what it is that we're communicating, and provides deliverables on time. So I wanna give a shout-out to him. He is on it.

Also, our account builder does an excellent job building the accounts. He delivers all the suggestions and views we want inside of Salesforce within a few days. And he also intelligently talks about Salesforce in different areas and shows us features we didn't know existed. He is on it as well.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their turnaround time is impressive. When you get on a project, they often say they'll deliver it within a week. A month later, you're still waiting on that deliverable. If SP Tech told us they'd have something by next Friday's meeting, it's usually done by Wednesday. Their turnaround time on the deliverables is the central standout for me.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything they could improve on.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a list of what you want to see and deliverable action items. We could've improved upon this as a team. We could've logged into Salesforce beforehand to see what was in there. If you have a list of the items you need built, that will help improve the project and speed things along. We lacked knowledge, but if you have a list of actionable items for SP Tech before signing the SWO or the initial meeting, that would be helpful.
