We parted with our old developer for many reasons including but not limited to: responsiveness, speed of implementation and quality of deliverables that has dropped significantly in the past 2 years.

After a thorough comparison between local and foreign development companies we contracted COMPU-VISION to develop 2 new mobile apps on flutter (user & vendor) and a totally new CMS with more advanced management, reporting, and tracking features.

Deliverables:

• A very flexible and scalable CMS that can accommodate any type of home service (cleaners, maintenance, laundry, pest control and deep cleaning, furniture cleaning, spa and grooming, etc) with at least 3 input variables for a user to select from after choosing a service.
• A vey user-friendly and modern user app that is direct to the point, transparent with regards to costing and conditions, and many upgraded features.
• A very easy-to-use vendor app that goes through the order journey with minimal clicks and packed with features to generate reports for vendors and for each vendor to track the efficiency of it's representatives.

• A very flexible and scalable CMS in which I can add any home service with different order statuses without going back to the developer
• Smooth order journey from user to admin to vendor app for several different home services which fits exactly our operational needs
• Proper and complete migration from the old database to the new one

The team that was allotted to our project was a dedicated team that responded in less than a minute on any communication channel we were using. They worked day and night to meet our deadline, and the quality of deliverables was higher than expected from a yet small team compared to the huge development companies.

The project duration was pushed around 30 days because of some extra requests and needs that I decided to incorporate in phase 1 of the project and they delivered it on time. Our work with COMPU-VISION is ongoing for maintenance and upgrades. We have a lot of extra features in the pipeline to be developed.

The dedicated team and their customer support. Also, they understood my needs pretty well and implemented them in a better way that i explained even. They know the ins and outs of mobile apps and user experience.

COMPU-VISION has designed and developed a web application for us. They started the project by having calls with our Kuwait City team because we decided to go live there first. Then, the team submitted the first draft for our web app. We tested it and asked for more features. On our side, we worked on the data integration with our ERP database. 

After they added the features, the web app went live. They offer hosting and maintenance, working with us daily on support. COMPU-VISION is currently working on our Android and iOS mobile app. We’ve also asked for additional features there because we want certain areas of our ERP to also exist on the app.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

I am grateful for COMPU-VISION; our experience with the web app project has been very smooth. Although we had delays, they were caused on our side because we had some problems with our data. However, after we fixed the issue, the web app went live immediately. After that, the errors on the app haven't been noteworthy. When we modified the designs, the team delivered the new versions immediately. 

How did COMPU-VISION S.A.R.L. perform from a project management standpoint?

They're good at project management. Any lateness we've experienced has been on our side. We communicate by phone and have a group on WhatsApp where we have a five-minute call every morning to see if everything is working. At the end of each day, COMPU-VISION updates a PowerPoint presentation with completed and pending tasks. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I'm a developer, so I understand that the service after a sale is more important than the app itself. What I like about COMPU-VISION is their support. I don't need to nag them or send them many reminders to get good service, which I don't find with many providers. Moreover, they're very respectful, and even though they're not always on time, they deliver what we want.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could have a department to handle integrations, such as APIs. We've dealt with that part of the project ourselves. If they could offer this service, it could add value to their company.

Be honest about everything you need from the beginning. They're a team that respects clients' requests, so you'll have what you ask for. Therefore, you should define your scope of work in detail.

I am one of the cofounders and managing directors of Ghaya. We are a newly established coaching platform based in the United Arab Emirates catering our services for the MENA region with a focus on KSA, UAE and Egypt.

We met with around 4 to 5 companies in web development. We were looking for a potential long-term relationship with the company of our choice. We needed to have a partner who understands the entrepreneurship mentality and provides support in aspects in which we are not experts. We had 3 to 4 meetings with Mr. Fares, the founder of COMPU-VISION, in which we explained to him exactly what we need.

While other companies made it feel impossible for our vision to become a reality, Fares was able to simplify the matters and he ensured us of the ability to finish it as we want to for a budget that was fit for our capacity as a startup.

We had an initial meeting with COMPU-VISION to discuss our needs. After these meetings, we received a detailed project proposal from COMPU-VISION describing the scope of the engagement and timeline. We gave our comments and we explained to Mr. Fares that the development process will be gradual and through phases which he also accommodated and revised the scope again for us with an updated timeline. We wanted to create 3 end-users:

1. Our coaches: whom we want to create a dashboard for them to follow up on their engagement with us.
2. Our clients: we wanted them to check the progress of their coaching program and be able to conduct their coaching sessions through Ghaya Platform.
3. The admin: a project manager who can follow up on the scope of the project, schedule sessions, revise financials and payment.

The features we were seeking:

We had a kick-off meeting to discuss about the whole project. We had weekly check ins to get some updates about how things are moving.

After launching the start-up in Lebanon, we got amazing feedbacks from a lot of clients. We had 100 appointments in less than a month and got an average engagement time of 2 minutes and 33 seconds. We gained around 2,000 users organically during the first 4 weeks.

We had weekly meetings to discuss about updates, issues and next steps. If there were any delays, the owner would directly let me know ahead of time and provide me with quick fixes.

The most impressive and unique thing about COMPU-VISION S.A.R.L. is their 24/7 support. I never asked for help and didn't get an answer. Even on Holidays. It is simply amazing to work with such a company and passionate people.

I don't think I faced any issue with them and I think they're super professional and know how to run a business and build long term relationships with their clients.

I’m the owner and CEO of DOUMMAR MEP Contractors. We’re a construction company specializing in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services. We assist in big building constructions by designing, supplying, and installing everything that’s related to climate, water, and electrical control.

We hired them to develop and design our company website. We wanted the site to be user-friendly, easy to update, and highly secure.

What was the scope of their involvement?

It was quite an intricate project, but COMPU-VISION S.A.R.L.worked together with our in-house design team in building our website from scratch.

We started the project by telling them the main features we wanted for the site in the form of an organigram. This included an admin panel that allowed us to easily make changes or updates.

They then proceeded with the development phase, using WordPress as the platform. They implemented all of our requirements and other necessary components to ensure that the site meets our expectations.

COMPU-VISION S.A.R.L. also worked on the web design, providing us with creative suggestions regarding the banners, layout, font, galleries, etc.

Currently, their team provides maintenance support, making sure our site stays secure and always up to date.

Overall, COMPU-VISION S.A.R.L. has exceeded our expectations. The website they delivered is working perfectly, and there haven’t been any problems or any complaints from our side. Moreover, a lot of people are heading to the site, which has had a positive impact on our company.
