It was good. It was a challenging project because our API was being developed at the same time as they were developing the screens. So if there were bugs in the API, they couldn't make progress until we fixed it on our end. They handled a lot of changes and pivots, and were very accommodating. They were also very flexible in keeping the project within scope, even though we were making changes and fixing things as we went along. There was a lot of back and forth, and they were willing to work with us on everything.

You need to be very flexible with the timeline, especially when it goes out of their comfort zone. They are much more comfortable and good at delivering things on time when it is pure digital development like a landing page or a microsite. They are not as good at developing the video portion, where they are involving a production company and other partners. Coordinating all that is more difficult for them, and they are not as good at respecting the deadline as they usually are.

They had about 3 months worth of work divided into sprints of 2-weeks or more. We had a daily morning Scrum, where we would talk with Giancarlo and the rest of the team to check in on progress and discuss the plans for the day. Bobby was available to me when I had questions. We dealt with the team every day. After the morning Scrum, there were days we would be in contact all day while working through a particular issue. There were a couple of challenges along the way, but overall, we accomplished what we wanted to within the allotted timeframe. Giancarlo is a great project manager. He is very detailed and accessible, and he made the project go smoothly. We were always up to date on what was going on with the project.
